William (Willie) Green was the son of Richard Green and Ann Lea.

Willie was born on Saturday 5 September 1863 in Moss Bank, Windle, St Helens, Lancashire.

Willie married Clasina Thomas on Tuesday 29 April 1890 in Low House Chapel, St Helens, near Liverpool, Lancashire.
The witnesses at the marriage were Henry Parr (William's brother-in-law) and Margaret Green (William's sister).
Willie was 26 years old and Clasina was 23 years old when they married.

He had the following children from his marriage to Clasina Thomas:

Willie was a Joiner (Journeyman) and later a Shopkeeper.

Willie died when he was 79 years old, on Thursday 2 December 1943 in St. Vincents Hospice Old Swan, Liverpool 13.  

He was buried on Monday 6 December 1943 in St Helen's Cemetery, Rainford Road, St Helens, Lancashire.

He was buried in section 25, grave 168.
