Sarah Jane (Sally) Sewell was the daughter of John Graham Sewell and Ann (Annie) Topham.

Sally was born on Thursday 2 December 1897 in Rochdale, Lancashire.

Sally married Robert H. Allaby on Saturday 28 January 1922 in the Rochdale Registration District (Mar. quarter).
