Rose married Arthur Warby on Saturday 5 March 1949 in Rowley Regis, Staffordshire.

She had the following children from her marriage to Arthur Warby:

- Brian Warby	born in 1952 in Rowley Regis, Staffordshire.
- Gillian Margaret Rose Warby	born in 1954 in Rowley Regis, Staffordshire.
- Kevin Terence Warby	born in 1961 in Rowley Regis, Staffordshire.
- Sheila Dianne Warby	born in 1963 at Wolverhampton, Worcestershire.
- Trevor Robert Warby	born in 1966 at Wolverhampton, Worcestershire.

Rose was bought up in the East end of London and was evacuated during the War.   She spent her time at the home of the gatekeeper of Windsor Palace and remembers the rides in the carriages with princesses Margaret and Elizabeth.
