Ralph Victor Hippisley-Cox was the son of Joseph C. Hypsley Cox and Emma Prewer.

Ralph was born on Wednesday 15 July 1891 in Aston Manor, Warwickshire.

Ralph married May Christine Brookes on Thursday 8 August 1912 in Holy Trinity Church.

He had the following children from his marriage to May Christine Brookes:

- Philip Hippisley-Cox	born in 1914.
- Denis Hippisley-Cox	born on 21 January 1916 at 9, Antrobus Road, Handsworth, Birmingham, Warwickshire.
- John Douglas Hippisley-Cox	born on 4 April 1922.

Ralph was a Jeweller.

Ralph died when he was about 74 years old, in 1965.
