Sylvia Ann Malley was the daughter of George William (Jock) Malley and Annie Eva (Nancy) Phillips.

Sylvia was born on Tuesday 22 October 1940 in Birmingham, Warwickshire.

Sylvia married Brian Francis Brooks on Saturday 5 June 1965 in Bergeworth.

She had the following children from her marriage to Brian Francis Brooks:
