Joyce Lesley (Joy) Walker was the daughter of George Leslie Walker and Dorothy Beryl Adams.

Joy was born on Saturday 14 March 1925.

Joy married Denis Richard (Pinkie) Greenhough on Saturday 2 April 1949.

She had the following children from her marriage to Denis Richard (Pinkie) Greenhough:

- Richard Stuart Greenhough	born in 1952 (date suppressed) in 28, Loveday Street (Maternity Hospital), Birmingham, Warwickshire and then returned to his parents home at 27, Prospect Road, Moseley, Birmingham B13.
- Tracey Ann Greenhough	born in 1957 (date suppressed) in Smethwick (Nursing Home), near Birmingham and then returned to her parents home at 97, Woodstock Road, Moseley, Birmingham B13.
- Susan Elizabeth (Susy) Greenhough	born in 1963 (date suppressed) in The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Edgbaston, Birmingham and then returned to her parents home at 170, St Bernards Road, Solihull, Warwickshire.
