Fanny Spittle was the daughter of John Spittle and Eliza Elizabeth Ilsley.

Fanny was born on Monday 25 May 1857 in Aston, Warwickshire.

She was christened on Sunday 14 June 1857 at St George's Church, Birmingham, Warwickshire.

Fanny married Edwin Henry Patterson in 1879 in Aston, Warwickshire.

She had the following children from her marriage to Edwin Henry Patterson:

- Nellie Bertha Patterson	born around 1880 in Aston, Warwickshire.
- Frank Patterson	born around 1886 in Aston, Warwickshire.
- Dorothy Patterson	born around 1891 in Aston, Warwickshire.

Fanny died when she was 86 years old, in 1944.
