Walter Mowett Judd was the son of Robert Rymill Judd and Mary Valetta Flowers.

Walter was born on Wednesday 7 November 1832 in Harborne, Staffordshire.

He was christened on Saturday 14 July 1832 at St Martin's Church, Birmingham.

Walter married Mary Catherine Allan in 1858 in Guilford, Surrey.

He had the following children from his marriage to Mary Catherine Allan:

- Walter Edgar Judd	born around 1862 at Woking.
- Albert Allan Judd	born around 1864 at Chertsey.

Walter was a Railway Official.

Walter died when he was 45 years old, in 1877 in Lambeth.
